Co-writing works best, when the songwriter, who focuses on the verbal communication, and the composer, who focuses
on the effects of the musical motifs, are relatively close to each other. Not strangers. They know more or less
what to expect from the other, what connects them. I could say it is like a close friendship, but I wouldn’t describe it as a friendship, rather as the ability of co-working that happens in many other fields and workplaces. When people with different abilities
and talents can work together in a way that by completing each other
and working together, both of their thoughts, talents and emotions get incorporated into their work. If this is a success and it goes well, then the music and the lyric
as a DNA spiral will hold one another and can never be separated again.
